We have the greatest friends who let us stay with them! Adam's best friend from college and his wife, John and Amanda, were such great hosts and amazing friends! This was the first time we were able to hang out with Amanda besides meeting her at their wedding. We had lots of good laughs, some great competition, and fabulous conversation!
We arrived on Wednesday night and just hung out with John and Amanda that night. Thursday was the big day! We headed down to the Mount Timpanogos LDS (Mormon) Temple that afternoon to be with Even and Jordan as they were sealed for eternity. It was so great to be apart of that amazing time in their lives. Next we headed to lunch and then the reception hall to set up for the evening.
The reception hall looked amazing, the bride and groom looked fantastic and now we were ready for the party to start! We ate and danced the night away! Ok, let's be real, Daxton had not had a good night sleep the night before (meaning he was awake until 3 am!!) so he was pretty crabby most of the night. After we partied hard, it was time to send the bride and groom off! They are so great together!
Friday we were invited to a luncheon at Jordan's parents house before my sister and brother in law headed off on their honeymoon. Daxton took to Jordan really fast and of course I forgot to take a picture of it! Every ball Jordan had in his hand, Daxton would spot and go get. Then they started passing the ball back and forth for a while! Needless to say, Jordan has no problem fitting in to the family! We love ya!
Then Friday night we were able to see our friends Blake and Brooke as well! They came over to John's (the guys lived together in college) and we talked, laughed, and ate delicious food! The last time they all saw Daxton, he was 3 months old at John and Amanda's wedding. So this was a huge change to see him all chunky and walking around! Even though we kind of suck at keeping in touch, it is great to be able to see our friends from college every once in a while! We also were lucky enough to have my sister Lindsay come down to stay with us for the weekend! It was so good to see her because we missed her a ton when the twins and Cody came to visit.
Saturday we got to hang out with Rylee and Jesse before the whole family got together! We ate lunch and then headed to a park in Sandy. Daxton loved running the bases with Rylee! Then we all met up to go have a campfire in the canyon. Can I just say, I am so lucky to have married in to the best family, but my sister in laws are the best of the best! I love that we can talk about anything and everything! It's like we were destined to be sisters so we all just click! They also just accepted Lindsay like another sister which was awesome! After some good chats around the campfire (and chasing Daxton around), we all dispersed from the campfire. We decided to keep having fun and headed to mini golf with a couple of the siblings! It was so much fun to get that extra time with them, but Daxton was having a rough night again so mini golf was almost more frustrating than enjoyable.
Sunday came and it was time to relax with John, Amanda, and Lindsay! We literally did just that. We hung out in sweats, were super lazy, and just lounged all day. Then it came time for Lindsay to get back to Rexburg because she has a big girl job she had to get back to.
It was so great that Linds was able to come down. Especially because I probably won't be able to see her until Christmas time. All my sisters are living together (again) and right across the parking lot from Cody so they'll get a ton of time together. I'm super sad I won't be anywhere near there to go hang out with them. But I hope they will all have so much fun this semester, just don't forget the old married sister, okay??
Monday was time for us to head back home. We had such a fun time seeing everyone while we were in Utah! I know we missed some people, but hopefully next time we'll get to see more of our friends and family there!
Now that August is over, we can breath! We moved here the very end of July and have been traveling or had people staying with us the entire month of August. We have completely loved every second, but now that we have nowhere to travel for a while and nobody staying with us, I feel like we can relax and get into a groove of things here in our new house!
