March, the beginning of the craziness!

We were able to get away as a family twice in the month of March! Both trips were fabulous! The first one we went on was a company trip with the people on Adams project. We went fishing in Lake Tahoe! It was different from the fishing I grew up doing on the Snake River, but still fun! Adam did great! He caught one fish and almost a second! It was a little chilly when we were motoring out, but when we were just sitting still the sun was out and it was gorgeous! We would love to go back this summer when it would be warmer. It's also been fun to get to know the other guys and their families that Adams works with. Daxton thought the fish were pretty cool to look at after they were caught. He and the other kids would stand by the bucket of fish and just watch them. It kept them entertained for a little bit!

Our next trip in March was with some friends up to their cabin! We spent the weekend eating, talking and playing games, but mostly eating. Haha! We had enough food to feed an army!! It was still a little chilly in the mountains so we kind of stayed close to the cabin. The kids loved being able to play outside and get as dirty as they wanted to! We walked down to the lake for a little while but it was far too cold to actually get in and swim around so we were just throwing rocks and watching the kids play in the mud and throw rocks. Daxton was getting a little too brave and eventually fell in the water. I know, we are great parents! But it was cold enough that we stripped him pretty much naked and got him back to the warm cabin pretty quickly. But other than that, it was so much fun to relax with friends for the weekend!
