Saturday we headed out to San Fran to play tourist because Eve had never been! We actually stopped to see some things that I had never seen before either! We headed straight to the Golden Gate Bridge first. After we made our way through the clouds, we were able to get s few pictures but the sky wasn't clear at all so the bridge was kind of hard to see from the hill.
Then we headed to Adams favorite part, Lombard Street. Adam loves to drive down the super curvy road so we did it a couple of times. I just can't get over how crazy it is that people actually live on that street!! But the view is gorgeous!
Next we headed to Pier 39 and Fishermans Warf. We were able to show Eve where Alketraz is from the Pier and how the cloud cover completely blocked the view of the Golden Gate Bridge. We ate some delicious fish wraps and then walked down through Fishermans Warf. It became a little misty while we walked, but not bad enough to go inside anywhere.
Lastly as we got in the car and headed toward home, we spotted a tower that made us curious. We headed in the direction of the tower and eventually made it up there. We discovered it was called Coit tower. It was really interesting because the tower wasn't really used for anything. It was built by a family specifically to make the city more beautiful. This tower could be spotted from almost anywhere in the city! It helped that there was a beautiful view from the parking lot too!
On Sunday we decided to head to the beach! We tried a beach we hadn't been to before, and for the most part it was pretty good! It had an abandoned ship not too far out in the water so the beach was pretty smelly at first, but we all got used to it. I felt bad because Eve was used to the Carolina beaches where it's so warm and this beach was definitely NOT warm. She was all bundled up under sweatshirts and towels for the majority of the time. Haha! It was overcast almost the whole time we were there, but that doesn't keep Daxton out of the water! He was having a great time! He loves water no matter what temperature it is.
