Happy Birthday Handsome Husband!

This is the year after I met him, at the surprise party I threw for him! 

Four years ago is when I saw Adam for the very first time. My roommate, Melissa, and I started hanging out with two of Adam's roommates. I hadn't met Adam yet, honestly didn't even know he existed. Melissa and I played ultimate frisbee with most of Adam's roommates every Monday night, and I had never seen him. One night his roommates asked us if we wanted to come over and help set up for their roommate's surprise birthday party.  We thought it was a little weird that we were going to be at this guy's birthday party who we didn't even know. But we went anyway! We helped bake the cake and put up decorations. Then everyone started to show up and get excited for this guy to get home. I'm not going to lie, I was intimidated a little because of all the girls that showed up for him. Not that I even knew him at the time, but I didn't know anyone except his two roommates and Melissa.

Someone got a text from the girl he was out with letting them know that they were on their way home. Everyone moved to their positions, the lights went out, and we waited. He opened the door, the lights flipped on, and that's when I saw him. The most attractive man I had ever seen!! Insta-crush! Here is the video that was taken when Adam walked in. I was standing right behind whoever was taking the video, so this is exactly what I saw.

Adam's 23rd Birthday Party 

Adam came in and started socializing with all of the people who came for this party. Melissa and I stayed in the kitchen with the boys and we started asking about the birthday boy. I think I was the one to ask the first question, because I was shut down immediately. One of the guys told me that he was off limits because he was dating the girl he came with. Now as bummed as I was, I crossed my fingers that something would change soon. Melissa and I decided it was our time to leave, but as we headed out Adam caught us to say goodbye.... that's when we introduced ourselves. haha!

I must have had good luck because not to long after that, Adam started coming to play frisbee with us! Apparently he had been playing with the girl he was supposedly dating until then. We were introduced again and that's when it all started happening. I laid on the flirt status big time!

The rest is history!

I'm so glad I went to that birthday party. I'm so glad I met this guy. I don't know where I would be without him. He has become my best friend. He is the best husband I could have ever asked for. I am so blessed to have such a hard working and great provider for our family. I know he is going to be the greatest Dad to our little guy.
