Daxton is ONE!

Things have been crazy busy around our house recently. To begin with, we moved to Northern California at the end of July. We are finally out of apartment living and love our house and neighborhood that we live in now. We are surrounded by elementary schools, parks, a branch of California state, and our church building! We now have a back yard that Reggie and Daxton have loved being able to go outside whenever they want.  Our ward for church is pretty tiny, but nothing we haven't experienced before. Adam is loving learning new things and meeting new people at this new project. He works only about 20 minutes away from our house, so that is really nice. And we have a third bedroom now for people to come stay with us!!

About three days after we moved, we had a little party for Daxton! We are lucky enough to still have some friends somewhat close by who came for his party. Then a couple of days after that, Daxton turned ONE!! I cannot believe my baby boy is one year old already! Where did the time go? It has been so fun watching him learn and grow though. 

At a year old Daxton:

Loves to play with balls of any type

Enjoys talking on the phone, he will hold up the phone and walk around the house talking to himself

Loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Jake and the Neverland pirates, toy story, and Winnie the Pooh 

Knows and actively uses the signs for more, food, drink, please, and thank you

Has started to point to things he wants

Has been on an airplane for six different trips, so 12 times total

Loves to shoot hoops

Still doesn't sleep through the night

Would rather cuddle when he sleeps

Wears size 18 month clothes and 5 shoes

Weighs about 26 pounds

Visited the Oregon coast and the Northern California beach

Has been to Disneyland

Is now living in his second home

Loves to play with Reggie

Loves dogs in general

Will still stop everything he's doing just to listen to the Big Bang Theory theme song

Loves to ride his bike

Loves to read books

Is way too excited when a prayer is finished

Has been walking for about a month and a half

Has 2 full teeth with 4 more coming in at the same time

Is really good at giving kisses

At his party, he was so tired that he wanted nothing to do with cake

Being a mom to this amazing little boy is the best job I could have ever asked for! We are so lucky to have Daxton in our family. He is such a happy baby and loves his mama and daddy so much! Watching him learn and grow is one of our favorite things to do. We love this little guy more than anything!
