Living Uptown.

Have you ever wondered what it's like living uptown (that's what they refer to the part of Charlotte we live in) or downtown anywhere? I didn't think I would ever find out. I always thought it would be fun to be single and live down town. I'd get the social night life and be able to live with some girl friends while I'm at it.
This living uptown is much different than I expected. You see, husband and I aren't really bar hoppers or experts at clubbin'. This is for the best obviously. We get to enjoy our own little bar hopping in our kitchen with Cheerwine and Cherry Lemon Sundrop!
We go walking around downtown, but if it's too late at night (meaning we might get mugged) we go walk on the treadmills in the gym downstairs. Our balcony looks out over our pool which gets very social on the weekends. We go grocery shopping anywhere but Charlotte because it is SO expensive. And we use our bed as our couch because we have no living room furniture.
As promised though, here are some pictures of our uptown apartment!

Kitchen
(don't worry, we have a 4th bar stool it's just not put together yet)

Living Room with no furniture

Bedroom
(we actually get our bedroom set soon!)

Bathroom
(It has a ton of counter space which I love)

Walk-In Closet
(Every girl's dream)

Newlywed Bliss...

Moving to North Carolina has been the hardest but best adventure for Adam and I. It has made us be one hundred percent dependent on each other and really know what loving each other no matter what means. Trust me, it was really hard at first. But after getting over the fact that I am a million miles away from my family and friends and everything I've ever known, Charlotte actually has been growing on me. Adam has been working his little bumb off and I have been working my little bumb off looking for an internship. Still looking.
Yes, I know we have been married for FOUR months already, but we are still newlyweds right? Friday, Adam had work off which was the first time since we arrived in North Carolina that we have been able to go do just whatever we feel like. We ended up going shopping for him. He desperately needed some new work clothes and I was glad to help! We also bought some stools for our new apartment (pictures are coming later, I promise) which will look so good around our island in our kitchen. The rest of the weekend we stayed in our apartment and watched movies (we started to watch Monk) and played games. It was a very relaxing weekend that both of us desperately needed.

Chapter 2: North Carolina

Adam and I did it! We graduated from BYU-Idaho and are moving on with our lives as college graduates!

Adam got a job in Charlotte North Carolina so that is where we moved to. We took the long journey driving accross the country. We got to see things that I have never seen before and things that I never want to see again. :)  We started taking pictures with every state sign as we were going but then as it got closer to the end of the trip we kind of gave up. I definitely had to get used to the humidity and the heat out here. But it's been a lot of fun. laying in his parent's pool when I have down time. I layed out yesterday and got toasted. That's what I get for not putting on sunscreen. Today has been the first rainy day, not saying that we haven't had thunder storms at night, since we've been here. North Carolina reminds me a lot of Oregon, besides the humidity. It's so green and wet and beautiful.
Adam loves being back in NC.  He started his job on Monday and loves it. We finally found an apartment on Wednesday that we both love! We move in on Saturday, yes tomorrow!! It's kind of weird because I NEVER saw myself or Adam living downtown, in the middle of a city, anywhere. We are beginning the life of downtowners, which is a very fast life! Weird!!  Once we move in and I find my camera (adam packed it before we left for rexburg) I will take pictures of everything!
