Home Alone... with out hubby.

I never knew I would be so bored with my husband gone for 5 days. I thought it was going to be a good break, you know, for myself. Have some girl time, some time to myself. It was going to be great right? Wrong. I don't know what to do with myself! I didn't know this about myself, or to this extreme, but I HATE being alone. I have to have someone with me. Even if they don't pay attention to me, I just have to have someone else in the room or house with me.
Of course I called my mom in a break down moment because it was too late in Boston to call Adam. I seriously considered going to portland for the weekend, but then I changed my mind on that one. I had too much homework that I had to get done this weekend. But she gave me some good tips. She told me to:
  • Go buy your favorite junk food
  • Rent those really girly chick flicks that husbands HATE watching
  • Go on a little shopping spree
I did all three! They were great! I rented three movies:

All three were actually pretty decent, thank goodness. Then I bought my favorite candies and ingredients to make No Bake Cookies! They turned out amazing!! I stayed up until 2 am which is so unlike me. I normally go to bed around 11 pm. But I had to watch all of those movies! That I did.
Today, after a great little nap, I went to Idaho Falls to do a little shopping. I went in to Old Navy and checked out their sale going on right now. It was ok, but nothing stuck out to me too much. I did find a way cute skirt that I can wear with almost anything. AND I made a really geeky purchase that all of you will get to see after the 4th of July! It's awesome, don't worry.
Anyway, after I freaked out, things actually turned around and it's been a very relaxing weekend so far. I still have two more days until that handsome man comes home, but I'm doing ok.
Thanks Mama!

Lately...

Adam and I are back at BYU-Idaho for our last semester!!! It is so very exciting to be getting out of Rexburg for... forever! It's fun while we are here, hanging out with friends and family, and seeing the happenings of a small town... But when we get home and have to sit down and do home work, it is no fun.
Adam has had a couple of interviews for Construction Management recently, so we are just waiting to hear back from them. After we hear the offers then we will decide where we will be going after this semeter! I still have an internship I have to get done in Event Planning, so if you could all keep your eyes and ears peeled for me, that would be great!
We have our own little cute apartment the size of my parents living room and kitchen... ok that might be pushing the size. But it's close. I'll put up pictures eventually. We are both trying very hard to get good grades for our last semester, which means we spend a lot of time on campus or at home doing homework or studying.
It was Adam's Birthday yesterday! He turned 25! We celebrated it Monday night because he left for Boston last night. But Levi and Dara came over to celebrate with us. I made clam chowder and mud cake for Adam. It was the most I've cooked in a while. We talked, laughed, and even cried because we were laughing so hard.
Last night, I dropped Adam off to take the shuttle to the Salt Lake Airport so he could fly to Boston and see his brother graduate from Harvard. We are so proud of him so I am really glad Adam got to go out to see him!

What happens in Mexico stays in Mexico!

The day after our wedding was my birthday! Yay! The big 22! We went back to my parents house to have brunch with my family, open gifts, and pack up the rest of my things. It was lots of fun to laugh with all of my family before we had to begin our long drive down to California. We drove down to Long Beach which was about a 16 or 17 hour drive ( I didn't want to keep track after 12). We boarded our amazing cruise ship and began our trek to Ensenada Mexico!

It was so much fun! Our days basicaly went like this:
10:00 am -  Think about waking up
11:00 am - Go have breakfast
12:00 am - Go on shore and walk around the port that we were docked at that day
5:00 pm - Head back to the ship to get ready for dinner
6:00 pm - Nap time!
8:00 pm - Dinner
10:00 pm - Karaoke (we just watched)
11:00 pm - Wander around the casino
12:00 am - Head back to the room

In Catalina we just walked around the main road for a bit and then decided to go on an excursion. We went in a half submarine and got to shoot "food missiles" at the fish that swarmed the boat.

That night at dinner our waiters came and sang us "Happy Honeymoon" to the tune of "Happy Birthday". They also made us kiss through the WHOLE song. There was also dancing during dinner that they really wanted us to get up and dance to, so we did!

Then in Ensanada Mexico we decided to go to the blow hole, but not to see the blow hole. Adam and I just wanted to barter with the locals for things to take home with us! Adam didn't find anything he wanted so I picked out what I wanted and he bartered. It was a pretty good deal if I do say so myself!

While we were in Mexico we also wanted to have a real Mexican meal. So we did!

The next day we were just at sea all day which gave us an excuse to spend the entire day in our swimming suits and to explore the ship!

After all of the exploration, we headed back to our room to get pretty for our last dinner on the ship! Oh and we sat with the coolest couple during our dinners every night! Their names are Jeff and Jojo. We had so much fun talking to them every night!

The next day we said, "Peace out" to the cruise ship and "Hello" Vegas!

We spent two days in Vegas and saw the Lion King while we were there! That was amazing!

After that, we headed to our humble little apartment that we can now call "Ours".

Once upon a time...

There lived a boy (Adam) and a girl (Brittani) who both went to school at BYU-Idaho. He hung out with girls, while she dated boys. They met and flirted... a ton! It took Brittani a long time to convince Adam that she was the only one he wanted to date. Then when he finally decided, it was all up hill from there. They spent that next summer together doing everything a perfect couple would do. Watched movies, stayed up late talking (and kissing, duh!), and playing outside every chance they got. It was a wonderful summer!
At the end of the summer however, Adam was going to a far away land (North Carolina) where he would be doing an internship for 4 months. Brittani would be staying in Rexburg to continue her schooling. They wouldn't see each other for a whole 4 months.
So the end of the summer came, Adam took a long grueling 5 minutes to ask Brittani's dad for permission to marry her. Of course, Brittani's dad was thrilled (as thrilled as a man can get over those things) to have Adam join the family. Adam proposed and Brittani said YES!
The wedding planning, the internship, and school all began at once. They were running every which way, but eventually were back in each other's arms where they belong.
On April 9th, 2011, in the Portland Temple,  Brittani and Adam began their Happily Ever After. The day was wonderful. That morning Brittani's best friend from high school (Mel) came to make sure she was in check. All of Brittani's sisters were getting ready and running around like mad, making sure things were going gerat. A very good family friend (Jana), who had done Brittani's hair since she could have her hair cut, made Brittani look like a princess just because of her hair. Their great photographer (Katie) was also there that morning.

Adam picked Brittani up and they were on their way to being sealed for eternity.

When they came out of the temple, they were greeted by all of their closest friends and family. Tears of joy, hugs, and lots of laughing filled the air. Pictures were taken and more laughing happened.

After the pictures, the Bride and Groom headed to their luncheon. Their bridesmaids and groomsmen entered the luncheon to the song, "I think I wanna marry you", by the Glee cast. The bride and groom were the last to enter and it was one big party. The food was made by a great friend, Rick, who did a fabulous job! They watched a slide show that took everyone back to when they were young and how they came to be.

Lastly, the reception. It was so great to see how many people came with their love and support. Thanks to everyone! The bride and groom stood greeting their guests for the first half. Then the cake was cut and the dancing began. Their first dance was to "Then" by Brad Paisley. Next the bride danced with her daddy. They danced to "I loved her first" by Tim McGraw and bawled their eyes out during the entire 3 minutes of the song. Next the groom danced with his mom to one of their beach music songs. They tossed the boquet and the garder and then danced with all of their friends and family! It was the best ending to the beginning of their happily ever after.
